Reintegration treatment is directed toward applying recovery skills, preventing relapse, improving emotional functioning, promoting personal responsibility and reintegrating the individual back into the community.
Individuals treated in a reintegration residential treatment setting typically experience problems with applying recovery skills, assuming personal responsibility, and/or problems with family, education or work.
Reintegration treatment provides a safe and sober living environment while the individual participated in 10 hours of scheduled, structured activities each week. These activities include individual and group counseling, life skills, recreational groups, self-help support meetings, and vocational or employment counseling.
The duration of reintegration treatment is determined by the individual’s illness and his or her response to treatment but generally lasts 60 to 120 days.
